This weekend is the CPL World Tour Stop, Santiago. And my hardware site did a hardware workshop, well everybody went for vacations and I had to take all the responsability on this. We built up an SLI rig using an nF4 SLI for Intel (both companies are main sponsors of this event). I was expecting an Abit motherboard for this rig, but it couldn't be delivered because of Wilma hurricane, then I had to use an MSI P4N Diamond pre release sample. The thing is this motherboard sucked and presented unstabilities in games, USB ports freezed and sometimes it just didn't boot.

Today I had to call all chilean hardware stores to find an SLI for Intel motherboard and only one had an MSI P4N SLI, it was really overpriced. Intel gave me a P4 670 and I used a CoolerMaster Hyper6, the system worked. Anyways we where testing the computer with audience and it suddenly turned off. A cable stucked in the 100mm fan and the bios read 10OC on the CPU  . It was just really funny, Intel guys where horrorized with the scene. Well luckily is still working.

Edit: Now that I read it I think I just might need to get a blog :P

That's incredibly unprofessional. Your team is the reason people who would do legitimatly interesting things with the CPUs but can't get them, arn't allowed to get them.

We had to build and get the platform running in 20 minutes (because of the mobo issue). We even had time to arrange the cables, but just one cable hanged and no one figured it out, in fact we built it with an Intel technician. The guys from Intel after the testing just laughed, I think you are being exagerated. The official presentation in the front stage was flawless and everybody enjoyed it.

Yes I'm the reason because you don't get freebies :stick:

I still get free stuff. I was thinking about a poll I made earlier about how many people wanted Intel ES CPUs and couldn't get them Vs. how many people had them Vs. how many people didn't want them.

The way you talked about it in your first post it sounded like the problems were happening on stage, not while you were assembling.

It was backstage but there where people looking anyways.
