That's awesome.

Very nice scores m8, congrats.
How high is the card running?

Thanks Jupiler.. Trying to catch you...;) Well, I have the card running different on all test.. Nature=465, Car=478, Lobby=478 and Dragothic=472. Memory was the same for all test at 371. I have a Rev3.0 9700 Pro and want more out of the Mem so I found a 1.2.. Hopefully I can get the Mem around 390 or so with a vmem mod :D

You should be able to pass 21k without to much problems, IMO.
I see that you have the mem running at 4:5? Or am I mistaken?

Svenn

Have you done any volt mods to that 9700?

K_2
01-23-2003, 09:39 AM
Yes that is correct.. I can set it to 3:4 but only run 3D Marks, stable at something around 161 or so... In order to do that, I have to set the CPU to LOW, then I can get 3:4.. I set the CPU to HIGH then I get 4:5...

EDIT: Jupiler.. I see we have pretty much the same setup as far as CPU, Mobo and Vid Card.. Do you think I am doing something wrong, or have you done something different to get that high of a score..??

Thanks

Sven... Yes, I have done both vgpu and vmem.. but from what I gather, with the new Rev3 cards, doing a vmem does absolutely NOTHING.. stock gives me 371 also.. New voltage regulator or something is not letting me give the mem more volts..

Excellent, I've got the same card and same Swiftech block (MCW50-T, right?) and I get 438/357 with no voltage mods. I may try a vgpu mod soon and see what I can do with it. I'm also gonna put heatsinks and small fans on the memory to see how much that helps. My score is really low right now. With stock on cpu and card I'm only getting 12,300 (specs below). It's really bugging me.

Yes that is correct.. I am going to get a new waterblock, by swiftech, actually just ordered it from TekWorks... They dont show it on their webpage yet, but it looks to be a killer WB..

Heres some pics they sent me..

Cold Plate.. this also has the 226w Tec :D

Svenn
01-23-2003, 09:55 AM
Is that for CPU or GPU? I'd love a 226W on my GPU :D
I've got a Prom on it's way from XTWerkz...

K_2

Its for a CPU.. I have to make a few mods in order for it to fit the GPU.

DangerDen has a 176W 40mm Pot. How hard would it be to switch that out on the MCW50-T? I might try that.

Svenn - I believe that the MCW50-T would actually have problems removing the heat generated by the GPU and that powerful a TEC. Remember its designed for up to 80watts - youre going double its rated consumption there. To shift the heat from that powerful a TEC you really would need a cpu block rather than a GPU block :).

PiLsY.

Well the MCW50-T isn't hurting my water temps at all right now... going up higher shouldn't be too bad, should it?

An email I received from the Tech at TekWorks said that it wouldnt be the best of ideas to do that... I dont know.. On 'paper' it seems ok, but when you actually do it, it may not work correctly.. He then suggested the Swiftech to me and said that would be a much better idea.
