Hi,

I'd like to know if it must be 2 instances of prime running on P4 hyperthreading to test it, or one instance is ok?

I read some posts that say it must be 2 instances, some others that say 1 instance is enough because it use all cpu even if windows says it uses 50%, etc...

I'm confused... what to do?

Thanks

Better is to run 2 instances of Prime for testing it's stability.

Moving this topic to the Computer Related Open Discussion section.

It is best to run 2 instances of Prime95, setting the affinity of of the instances to processor "0" and the affinity of the other instance to processor "1". To do so, you will need the password, and to get the password you will have to read the help file.
This way, you will have indeed a 100% load on both the logical processors. Good luck! :)

I think the password is 9876 or something like that. Its 4 numbers in a row.
