I got me a ATI X800 XT PE, wanting to mod this sucker. I have searched the forums and found different things. Looking for someone who has this card and who has modded it.

I have a Danger Den Watercooling setup for my CPU. Going to split off from it to cool my card.

Few questions

1. Should I just get a block that only covers the GPU or one that does both the mem and GPU? If I do the GPU should I just put ram sinks on the memory? Recommendations would be nice.

2. What vmods should I use for the GPU and Mem... recommendations and the like? Not good at soldering so pencil trick is always nice :)

3. What kind of performance should I expect.

Current setup

Asrock 939dual-Sata2
3200 e6 venice @ 2.4
2x512mb k-byte cheapo ram. 2.5,3,3,6 1T
X800 XT PE currently at stock speeds.

Current Scores

PI 36.062
01 17584
03 12453
05 6052

Thanks for the help guys.

GPU and RAM water coolers suck major @$$. Get a good GPU block and some Revoltec or OCZ BGA sinks for the RAM(get the revoltec if you can :D ) check with Malves and see if hes modded the card. I haven't been keeping up.

Based on my experice with v-modding aticards, I would strongly suggest that you do the solderingmod and NOT the pencilmod. It's a sad fact that many cards have had their lifespan greatly shortend (RIP) beause of a pencilmod gone bad.

You will also experience that finetuning the v-core will be a hazzle with the pencilmod.

Get the DD Maze 4 waterblock - it performs great on my x800xt.
