View Full Version : IT7 Max2.2 Owners
im seriously considering choosing this as my next board. The only downsides i could find is that it doesn't support 8x AGP and has a 1.7v max. I hear though that the newer bios has fixed this voltage issue. What about the lack of support for 8x AGP? What do you guys think about this?
EDIT: what's the difference between 2.0 and 2.2?

Personally, I don't care if a board supports AGP8x or not, because I think it won't give you a big performance increase vs 4x.
I never heard of a version 2.2, only the v2.0. Where did you see that?
bout 5 or so threads down from this one...also heard it mentioned a few times.

its still version 2, from abits site. Abit it7 max2 ver2.0
I think the confusion is coming from the max2 v2 thing.

Well, there are a few differences between V1 and V2..:
4step power supply for CPU instead of three
Option to set ram at 4:5 for high FSB speeds
About the AGP issue, AGP8X does not give any performance ingreese, AGP8X boards run flawless in these boards!!
About the voltage isssue, The P4 won`t need more Voltage on the cpu.. You'll see that all P4 chips won`t OC more ones you need a Vcore of 1.65V.. 1.7V won`t let you you OC more than 1.65V does.. And going above 1.7V Vcore will sertainly add to the chance of getting elektro migration... So its pretty useless...
BTW, take a look in the Futuremark's highest compares, non of them is using more than 1.725V on this board....
