First Phase Change system

hey i want to build a diy single stage phasechange. im pritty new to this so i have read all the guides and stuff :P as i said im not gonna do anything as EXTREME as some of u guys are doing i just want a decent single stage system. to be honest -10 load sounds great :) i live in australia (melbourne to be more precise) and i was wondering if u guys could A) give me a rough estimate of how much it will cost to make a decent single stage system and B) if you guys could give me any good brands to look for for the parts and any good stores to get the parts from

first of all try to get a secondhanded compressor, that would definitely cut the price a lot

a quiet compressor = Danfoss = expensive

if you are new to cooling technics you will need to buy a lot of tools too, try to find someone who has those tools

Yes - I would check with kayl also. He has evaporators and extra parts I'm sure.

compressors/evaps can be found by the dozen for free, i've picked up 3 A/C units in the last week, without even really looking lol... just go for a drive round hard rubbish areas.. A/C's & fridges everywhere.
