Working on another testing unit today to see how 1/5hp embraco fares on X2 heatload. (Compressor from Chilly1)
Got newer revision of Chilly1 evap on this one... :)

Brazing this time was much prettier... almost perfect except the obvious discoloration I usually don't bother prettying up :p

Actually, it wasn't that my skill has become mature (well it is getting close) but help from this new toy...

It basically shoots 3 flames toward center in 120 degree angle apart. All I had to do was center the flame to pipe, wait a little, put the braze rod in, give it a little flow by moving up and down the length of join and I am done. I must have finished all piping brazing in matter of 5-6 minutes. It heats the pipe up much faster than #00 or #2 tip (I don't like using #2 tip on piping as it tends to over heat other things in crowded space) In fact, I had perfect joint on all the brazed parts except...
The frigging schraeder valve on service port (well it is suction port but this compressor had 5/16 on both service and suction so I used service port for suction which is easier to route my suction line... :P) is defective!!!! The factory soldering wasn't done too well and started leaking when I was starting to charge (saw -55c no load than suddenly saw decrease of highside pressure -_- with nice forsting on service line).
If I don't make mistake... it is the defective part... gotta love my luck... :stick:
Anyways, I am going to swap the schraeder valve tomorrow than charge and load testing :P This time cap tubing is 7'6" 0.028. Wish me luck :)
