I just bought these and Im trying to get them to do 2,5 3 3 6 timings @ 300htt. on dfi ultra D and 3700+ san diego. Ran memtest for 9 hours no errors but super pi 32m errors not exact in round. Any tips or will I have to settle for 2,5 4 4 6

mess with tref, im not sure which is best for SD but i know whats good for venice and winnie. skew leave auto. drive strength 5 and data 2. max async 7

if tref doesnt help, you'll have to drop to 2.5-4-3. what voltage you running?

In my experiences with SuperPI, Not Exact In Round is related usually with CPU (voltage) BUT not always. Sometimes is related with bad choice in Drive/data strength, very tight MAL and RP, or even with LDT/Chipset voltage. My working Drive-data over 300Mhz is L7 and L2. I suggest this:

Tcl: 2.5
Trcd: 3
Tras: 6
Trp: 3
Trc: 9 or 12
Trfc: 16 or 18
Trrd: 2
Twr: 2
Twrt: 2
Trtw: 3
Tref: 4708 or 3072
Twcl: 1

Bank int.: Enable
Skew control: DS 128
Drive strength: 7
Data strength: 2
Max. Async: 8ns
Read Preamble: 6ns
Idle Cycle: 256
Dyn. Counter: Disable
R/W Bypass: 16x
Bypass Max: 7x
32Bit Gran.: Disable

You have floppy molex and normal molex connected, right?

thanks for the replies!

I have not played around with Tref much is there stability to be had with that setting? I have played around with diffrent drive strengths. Mal and rp what are those? Ldt and chipset voltage i have up one or the other but not bolth together. Is it normal for memory to pass memtest @ 2,5 3 3 6 and then fail in windows playing games and super pi.

I was under the impression that the floppy and molex connectors were for SLi or dual graphics cards, Not so?

Ill go play around with those recomended settings

yes tref does help A LOT

ldt voltage should be set to 1.4v and chipset should be at 1.7v if you want to go for 300+

and yes memtest can pass and not be windows stable. try tras at 7 instead of 6

Are there any tref values you guys would recomend? ldt 1.4v and chipset 1.7 so basicaly crank the crap out of the voltages lol. Im pretty much positive I wont get to 2,5 3 3 6 its just not in the cards. Ill try those though and report back.

Thanks for the suggestions

Don't even count on 2.5-3-3-6 timings, you'll have to use 2.5-4-3-5, from my expieriences your loosing your timings way to far.

Boot to 300fsb with 2.7v, 0.3v disable, ldt 1.3v, chipset 1.5v.

Now set these:

Tcl: 2.5
Trcd: 4
Tras: 5
Trp: 3
Trc: 7! -------------- Avoid loosing this one, big performance lost
Trfc: 14! ------------ You may try to loose this one 1 or 2 clocks
Trrd: 2 -------------- Should do it, but sometimes 3 clocks help to stabilize big time
Twr: 2
Twrt: 1!------------- And keep it 1, this affects about ~150mb/s whiich is more than trcd!
Trtw: 2!
Tref: 3072 ---------- Works very well, but 2592 clocks or lower should work even better
Twcl: 1

Bank int: Enable
Skew control ---------- Decrease, you run San Diego
Skew value ----------- 128, again, you run San Diego
Drive strength -------- 5 should do it, you have to find your best
Data strength -------- 1 or 2, 2 works beeter most of the time, check this one
Max. Async ---------- 8ns or eventually 9ns
Read Preamble ------- 5.0 or 5.5ns
DRAM Response ------ Fast or Fastest
Idle Cycle ----------- 16!
Dyn. Counter--------- Disable
R/W Bypass --------- 16x
Bypass Max --------- 7x
32Bit Gran ----------- Disable

btw what chips does this ram has? Good luck

Increase your ldt voltage to help cpu to clock, Increase to chipset voltage to help ram, does not always help.

Ldt what does it mean? I think there late weak TCCD's atleast that what the review at insanetek mentioned. For me these TCCDs just dont game as good as my VX did so Im probably going to end up running them in my second system. I know this is off topic but do you guys know any settings to squeeze any more mhz out of UTT's I was only able to get 250 but would love 260 do any of these settings apply for UTT.

I will try these TCCD settings when I get home Thanks for the advice!
