So, I finally got my parts in. I was given a 2.6c and an MSI Neo P2, and I bought some PQI Turbo ddr 550 memory. I put it all together, installed windows, and started cranking the fsb up. I got to 250 fsb, and aything higher won't boot. I even raised the voltage all the way up to 1.7. The temp was about 34C so I know it wasn't too hot. My PSU is a 550w antec. Memory is at 3-4-4-4-8, which it is rated at 550mhz at that timing. I used a divider to try an go further and bring the memory down to 400, but that had no affect so I don't think it's the memory. This was suppose to be going into my water chiller, for extreme overclocking, but it seems to have hit a wall? any ideas on how to get her to clock higher, or should I ebay it and get something different?
Thanks,

At 250fsb it is only at 3250mhz and my pi times are 43 seconds. I was hoping for something around 4ghz. Any help or advice would be great!
Thanks

Check your Northbridge temperature. If it's good, give Vagp a nudge upward and see if that helps.
Also, ensure that your Vdimm is set to the voltage the DIMMs require to do their rated speed. Most boards default to 2.5V and most of the high speed memory requires 2.7-2.8V.

I had 2.60C SL6WH Malaysia that behaved the same as yours in the past. It was simply stuck at 250FSB no matter what. I was able to do a max screenie at 260-270 but they we're never stable. Ti'll one day i got all pissed and shoved 1.95V to the cpu :D and my damn mb never posted again :D . I even have the IHS removed, the temps we're cool. It never touched 40C under full load. Even at 1.75V++......
So I replaced the P.O.S with a 2.8A Prescott that will do 4.3Ghz stable on air.
