I'm looking for a phase change system for 24/7 comp. Which is louder out of the two? I can't find the specs for the PE, but vapochill listed the XE as 35dba. Anyone know about the PE?

I have a SE@XE and a regular PE, u can set how much noise it should give you.. rightnow mine is running @30% of the fan speed.. so thats not that loud.. actually i can hear mig Chipset fan when the fan speed is that low..

Ps. My venice loves the cold :D

It is BD35 on XE and BD50 on PE ;)

i can tell you that the BD35 compressor is a really silent compressor.
And coupled with a silent fan on the condensor, you have a nice and quiet phase change setup :)

I know that they had diff compresssors, and also diff gasses (sp?) in them, but I wasn't sure about the noise level difference. I guess if you can adjust the fan speed, then it should be fine.
