Hey guys, i think i might have fried my ASUS P4P800 Deluxe mobo.. What good overclocking mobo is there for 478, and what chipset would u recommend.. thanks

abit ic7 (max) is one of the best. another good one is the is7 (modded) or the p4p80 (which you already had).
i would choose a i865 oder 875. if you want to run a pci-e grafik-card you could buy one with i915!

i'd say p4gd1, simply because you can use a dothan in it, or a p4 that you currently have. its not the greatest overclocker, but its not bad.

another good board for an overclocker :)
but its not easy to get one in america (and in germany it gets harder from day to day)

i have had good results with both the abit A17 and Asus p4c800d

but found the A17 put out the best vcore unmodded

yeah - the dfi lanparty rev b rocked - you can still get it in b-grades here in the uk

I had both P4P and IS7. I should say P4P is better overall...
If you wanna go Abit, get AI7 or IC7, otherwise P4P800 SE or P4C
I might say if you get ASUS you'll need to do the dropmod

keeps the Vcore from drooping while under load. Easy to do on most boards. Nobody knows how to spell "droop." Difference between IS7(-E_ and IS7-E2 = Night and Day. Don't get the E2.
