Ok now im kinda paniking, I did the mod and everything was fine. I had just switched to h20 cooling so I hadnt upped the voltage on the mem, was still experimenting with the core. I have the core vGPU at 1.65volts and its stable at 648 mhz :banana: and my memory on stock volts does 1470. But today when I booted up I had wierd artifacts in windows so I figured, Id cut the resistor off the vMem mod and take the soldered wire off later. Then I boot again and the screen is all corrupted. I wont get a chance to un-solder the two wires from the board until monday, but seriously, if I undo those will my card work again or should I resolder on the resistor or what? Also, the reason why I think its the vMem mod is because during one bench at stock volts the entire screen got corrupted only after I did the vMem mod, but it never did that when I only had the vCore mod done. So any advice? THAnks. I really dont want to have to RMA this to XFX its a really nice clocking card.

It sounds like your card is FUBAR'd. I would take off the vmods and see if that helps it. Did you have it set to 1.65v while idle or in 3D mode? If that was your idle voltage then your card may have been getting waaaay to much voltage.

with artifacts on the screen the memory on card most probably damaged or defective to be.

meassure vdimm on your card:

~ 2,1 v --> card ok
~ 0,8 v --> RMA

No, I upped the voltage only when the computer was off and then would quickly turn it on to check what voltage it had when idle. Idle voltage is 1.45 so 3d voltage is plus .2 so its 1.65, ive tested during both with my multimeter. So I know thats not it. Also, before I undid the vddr mod I checked voltage to memory and it was 2.13V so that seem perfect. So does anyone know what caused this? Maybe I should just re-do the mod and make sure I do better solder joints?

phew, found the problem, my vgpu mod came loose, fixed and ready to go.
