need to learn about intel overclocking, if its really and big difference vs AMD and some help with DDR2, like what to look for, what timings to look for?
and how the general ddr2 overclocking works.

ddr2 is like ddr but higher - higher clocks, higher latency;s
low latency on ddr is like cas 2 - on ddr2 its like cas3 - but on the other hand, ddr2 clocks very high, and is now widly availalbe quite cheaply
tbh maye - a64 is the "freak" of overclocking, as it uses a htt - all other platforms for years have used the fsb
what kind of specs are getting/got??

Basically it's the same as it allways was with intel, if u used to oc in the past. As for DDR-2 it's much the same as with DDR. Just it's working with lower vmem and has higher latencies.
BTW why u change your system from AMD to Intel?

its not a system change. my amd is my BABY. but i am getting a bundle deal from work for a Pent-D 820 & Intel D945PSN mobo and stuff for cheap. so i am gonna take the extra money and overclock it than when i am done, use it for linux or media center, not completely sure yet.
Intel D945PSN ,
i doubt u could overclock with his board
unless u use a clock gen
