People,
I was thinking of buying this mainboard, as its the only one i can find in malta.

The highlights for me are :

Dual Core support
AGP support *8 (and PCI Express but *4)
DDR 4 Slots
and FSB 1066 Support fro extreme editions

The Lows

Its not based on an intel chipset I always recommend that with intel CPUS choose an intel chipset! (I had quite a good amount of probs with a Pt800 Chipset)
The chipset is based on VIA PT 880 Ultra

The model is Asus P5VD1-X (did not find a single review on the net.

What do you think of this chipset? the options are quite limited as none of the suppliers i know want to order just one mainboard!

Thanks

Id say if your options are realy limited and you dont plan on OCing you could do a hell of alot worse then a Asus/VIA combo, but prehaps before buying you should look up some articles online about the chipset itself even if you cant find reviews of that mobo it will still give you a rought idea of what to expect if you know more about the chipset itself.

Already started looking out for Chipset reviews. Seems quite good the few i have read and Agp is natively supported by the chipset.

For the Overclocking, I always like to tweak a bit the bus. Not too much just some Mhz. Currently I ma running my 3.2 at 3.4 and Windows feel snappy and fast plus no reboots or over heating.

Order from Germany (http://www.geizhals.at/eu/?o=9) instead, good prices and lots to choose from. The shipping costs aren't that high. In the end you probably wouldn't pay more in total cost.
