This thing is standing around for some time now. I need to test it yet also i've to finish the case.
The evap is selfmade. I just used a holddown from chilly i had laying around.
the compressor is a 1/4 hp aspera. the shroud around the condenser is selfmade too. 1/2" ss braided suction line. charged with r402a

I did this unit a few weeks before I got the evaps.

Could someone explain some stuff to me on that build?
How come the cap tube is so short?
How come there is some cap tube coming or going into the condensor? edit: is that the high side access?
How low can the Desuperheater be.. if that's what that coil thing is?

captube must be warped around the suction under the insulation
the captube is going into insulation, after the filter
that must be something else
I calibrated the new thermometer as you can see it is quite accurate :)

And this is the case. On the pics the thermometer is not in the case. Its just a dummy.
