dude, that is sweet, for comparison purposes, it takes my athlon 64 1mb l2 cache 2551mhz with ram @ 251 to get 34.2xx seconds

but i'm socket 754, so it's single channel ram

is a dothan with 1mb faster than a banias with 1mb?
has anybody ever benched the two against each other? :D

lawrywild
10-22-2005, 09:33 AM
i dunno but why wouldn't dothan be faster?

im sure dothan 1mb > banias 1mb

so i reckon

Dothan Celeron M > Banias Pentium M

Nice setup for the $$ :) I'm only 16 :p: 27.500 was a walk in the park for me. Get some nice rams and real dothan and you'll be way faster than 27.500

lawrywild
10-22-2005, 11:43 AM
It's for sure faster than a A64
that is what i need for it omg
this is @ 9*283 =2547Mhz ,although my ram is slow :stick:
*pic*

lol venice/SD?

ram is slow? LOL you best be joking..

@ DaWaN, I have nice ram, 1gb ballistix and getting dothan in a month so.. i hope it clocks well..

Very nice! I'm getting a P4P800se, I hope I can get your ocing in my C_M 350J. Till now, nobody get >200FSB on C_M, right?

lawrywild
10-22-2005, 12:05 PM
hahaha

@ tonyl, I've got 180.16fsb max, anything above will crash. People have said they have a "180fsb bug" but i don't really believe that. I think my chip has just reached max..

but if you do get 2.5ghz like mine, your going to need 193/194 fsb :P

Congratulations! That's awesome with Celeron!

dothan wasen't just a die shrink, specific cache latency and some other slight core modifications were made. Thus a Banias 1mb would perform worse than a dothan 1mb.

air cooling on stock cooler with stock volts (the 32.266s was)

YAY got on a zalman 7000 alcu on it just now :D

Don't be too "greedy" now.. :)
BTW.. are you still benching/running on default VCore?
Anyway.. it sure is a impressive Celeron M you've got there...

I have not tried any higher than 165x14=2310 with my 360M.. (it's in a P4P800-VM with "cheapo" Twinmos dual).. :)

Congrats!
I guess this is "CPU-Z stable"? Or have you managed to run any 3D-benchies?
(My 360M seems to top out at 170x14.. default VCore... stock cooler).

lawrywild
11-11-2005, 02:44 PM
haha benches @ 2.6.. no chance.. only just managed to save the cpuz.cfv..

Yeh, i managed to get 185 by burning in/zalman 7000/patience/knowledge..

took me bloody long to get 2.6, kept crashing @ 2597.. grrrrrr

got dothan in now, does 2.7 benchable so its not wonderful but it's more than most people seem to get recently (needs a good burn in)
