I currently have a laptop with the following specs:
Intel Pentium 4 3.0 Ghz (Northwood)
512 MB DDR RAM
60 GB Hard Drive
ATI Radeon 9600 Mobile (64MB)
I love my laptop, it's very powerful and can run most games, there is just one issue. It's battery life. If i'm gaming on it, it honestly lasts about half an hour, if I'm browsing the web or typing something up its usually closer to an hour. Pretty rediculas considering most laptops can last upwards of two hours.
I was thinking that maybe if I was able to replace the CPU with something less power hungry such as a Pentium M it would really help out the battery life without compromising the ability to run games. The CPU is just a standard socket 478 Northwood P4 right now. Is it possible to replace this with a Pentium M? Also, this is a question sort of on the side, but is Pentium M the same as Centrino or is Centrino something completely different. If I were to replace the CPU how much would it help the battery life and also is there anything else I could replace in my laptop that would help out aswell.
Here's a pic of my CPU-Z on the laptop:
