Hi Xtremers
We are two guys with one problem our windbond memory or DFI NF4 , we are not totally sure yet
our problem is that our memory maxes out at ~235 not matter of timings or the voltage we throw at them nothing seems to work
Systems:
Venice 3200+
DFI NF4 SLI-D / SLI-DR ( 704-2BT)
Gskill CH-5 UTT/ OCZ 3200 GOLD BH-5 UTT both 2*512 MB
Chill 520W / OCZ 520W
we both tried upto 3.5V-3.6V and a lot of different timings but none of them seems to work
We were hoping that you guys would post your timings or other important settings or things we could do wrong.
settings
HTT 3 or 4 depending of the speed
Divider 200
still we keep geting errors in Memtest 86

This is what I use for my TMSP BH-5 UTT and DFI Ultra-D :
2-2-5-2-7-12-2-2-1-2-1 (Classic BH-5 settings?)
Is that what you're using? I find looser timings can be unstable.
I find I can leave the HTT multi at 3, and most other settings on auto and I can get stability up to around 255MHz with 2x512 BH-5 UTT.
Edit : I also found 510-2FIX to be best for my board, but yours may be different.

Did you start with lower voltage such as 3.3 then up to 3.5.
I had memtest errors that were caused by to much voltage.

Yes, you can try with a lower voltages. In my tests with Winbond UTT-BH, Memtest86+ test #2 shows errors if i use more voltage than necessary.
Over 235Mhz my two pairs of G.Skill GH only needs 3.0V and my VXs 3.1V (valuevx with UTT-BH).
BTW, AFAIK G.Skill don't use CH, only UTT-BH.

I have OCZ 3200 VX @ 3,5v with the following settings in bios:
200-e-2-2-5-2-7-16-2-2-1-2-1168-e-auto-0-level 8--a-a-a-16-d-16-7-d

You can check with another BIOS for example Hellfire 510-2 or Merlin 510-2. Even 623-3 works fine with UTT-*H.
And you are using a fan, right?

Both floppy style and standard molex connected to the board?
hot_fifty
10-22-2005, 09:25 AM
actually not the FDD/floppy stick is on.. Can it be because of that?
Corvus do you ha more results with higher voltage maybe 3v/3,2 and max

i havent had any problems with neither the floppy or the 4 pin port connected and i have been running this board for a while. Only on the 24 pin connector. The 4 pin port helps only when u use SLI and I am not really sure about the floppy connector .

Yes buddy. 240Mhz on 3.1V stable, and 250Mhz on 3.2V but no fully stable (max stable SuperPI 4M) for SP8M or more i need 3.3V.

tREF, Drive/Data strength are the most important for stability (MAL and RP are important too, well all timings and parameters :) ), what values are you using?
Sorry i don't have more recent pics, two weeks ago my partition was corrupted :( , and right now i'm on TCCD.

Definitely give it a try plugged in. I've seen all sorts of odd behavior from these boards when all board connectors are not plugged. I believe it is especially important when using +5V jumper.

Just a little mod :D . I based in this great thread in DFI-Street:

I took logo of a shot of DFI UT NF4 box.

Yes, try both slots. And i think that is better check dimm by dimm to know capacities of each one.
