Only looking for a tweaker shot to see if it's worth it to leave my 4800LA for these (they can tighten alpha timings to hell and back). No rush (too bad your FX probably can't do 12x310 under the GT....that'd be killer).

These are 512MB double sided sticks. Single sided 256MB sticks can go 320MHz easy. I'd say these sticks are pretty good.

My 4800LA are 512MB double sided sticks....;)
These do pose some competition though....maybe I'll be able to bench my sticks soon and see if it's worth it to sell mine and get these (if they consistantly do this--seems new TCCD does like 2.5-3-3).

Thats sic. What timings are they rated at (PC4800/DDR300)?
Those timings with those volts and that freq: harshly binned TCCD or you have the lucky set.
More LDT voltage = more memory overclock? Could it be that LDT voltage goes to the on-die mem controller.. New setting for me to mess with.
EDIT: Thanks Kasparz \/ \/

But I doubt the retail versions (non poweruser/ES kits) of these can do 2.5-3-3-7 at 300+MHz.
I had two kits come through my hands, one does 300MHz@2.5-3-3-X@2.7v, the other needed to be at 2.5-4-3-X, albeit at 2.6v (ran up to 310@2.6v no worries though).
The 2.5-4-3 kit didn't get much more testing, so it is possible it was capable of 2.5-3-3, just sent it on it's way to it's owner though.
I've still got the "good" set, been trying to get 310MHz@2.5-3-3 32M stable this morning but ran out of time and had to go to work (damn bills!). I know it does 305MHz though.
I don't know how indicative they are of "normal" retail sets though.

Try and play around with the voltage a bit..
Nice clocks! What's the date of the tccds...? Mine are 519, burning em in!
TCCD don't need any burn in, chances are the sticks will do even less MHz after burn in, especially at high volts. :nono:
Why should they clock less high if you burn them in??? Burn in is like, heavy usage... you're saying that when you use them in heavy load they clock less high, after a while, than when they're fresh out of the retail pack... Besides, when you're using under 3.0V with tccds + active cooling, I don't really see the chance of wearing them out
If you want it that way, see for yourself...

Play with your bios settings. Let me tell you how I manage to take my geil one ram from 275 mhz up to 300 mhz with 2.5-3-3-6 timings. I use 702-3 bios and here are my timings :
Tref 3072, bank interleave: enabled, Read/write bypass:16x, bypass max: 8x, max. async latency: 8.0ns, read preamble : 5.0ns, drive strength: 7, data strength: 2, decrease skew and skew value: 255.
You can set trc to 9-12 and trfx to 14-15, trrd:2, trp-twr-twtr-trtw:2

hi,

with bios 510-3 an these settings i have "my" 10x300FSB 1:1
DFI Ultra-D Bios:
2,5-3-7-3-7-14-3-2-2-3-3072-auto-enabled-decrease Skew-255-level7-level2-8,0-normal-5,0-256-disable-16x-7x-disable
so memtest runs from 2,5vdimm to 2,9vdimm with no errors (just 10 loops)
i can boot to windows from 2,5vdimm to 2,9vdimm.
but whatever i do....SuperPi wont finish 1M....not exakt blah blah.
(Prime also stops at a few minutes)
anyone some "tips" ? :(
Did you try to raise Vcore?
What is your LDT at?, set it manually to 3 in bios.
Try messing with read preamble/max async latency, this made a difference for me.
What DRAM response time are you using in bios, try to put it one step lower like from "faster" to "fast" or from "fast" to "normal".
CRF250
10-29-2005, 11:43 AM
yep, vcore 1,6v LDT was 4 sure 3 ;)
my cpu runs with 1,44 primestable @ 3000mhz
for testing i used only 9x300 to be sure the cpu is not the problem.
response time i have "normal"....
2,5-4-3-7 and super pi and prime runs :(
how can i become the little "3"
szukalski
10-29-2005, 12:17 PM
@CRF250
Try Drive Strength - 8. Data Strength - 1, Preamble -5.5ns
Maybe even trtw - 2 and remove skew, see if it helps at all.
