Anything I can change to improve performance?

Specs are in my sig. Bios is 704-BTA.

Cut tras to 0 and trc to 7 for starters....PR and MAL should be lower as well (if your CPU can do it). Try to lower trrd, twr and idle cycle as well. If you're already at your max it's likely that tightening timings will cause instability (but it's worth a try!).

Thx, I'll give it a shot.

It works! I'm running 2 2 2 0 7 16 with no problems. I also tried with the mem 2 @ 255 mhz (10 x 255)and it seemed stable with 3.5v

My cpu manages ca 2.9 ghz. That means I have to use a divider. The 9/10 divider does not work out as I expect it to, but 5/6 does. Is this fixable?

2900/11 = ~264MHz....your mem probably can't run that fast.

Good to hear that the other settings worked....you should try lowering twr to 2 and trrd to 0 or 1 now

I think you can also lower your trfc to 14 now (I think CH gets unstable at 13, not 100% sure though).

Problem is the 9/10 divider does not work out to 90%, it is lower then 5/6. I'm really scratching my head over that one

Have a look at 10.5 multi with the 9/10 divider.

Thanks for the tip!

I thought .5 multis were a big nono?

Could be but works for me.

It's now OCCT and 32m stable at 2-2-2-5-7-16.

I tried the 10.5 x 285 = 2992,5 mhz and 9/10 divider. Gives mem 250 mhz, but it refuses to run even 1m at this speed. Most certainly the cpu that can't keep up.

Maybe I should get some VX 4000. How much performance will I gain by running 264 x 11 and no divider?

correct me if i am wrong but the half multi automatically runs the memory on a divider doesnt it ? Am I missing something here ?

I will give it a try and report back.

Yes the half multi works like a divider. I cannot get me memeory over 240 stable while on a divider with the 11 0r 12 multi. As i use 10,5 or 11,5 it works just fine. Its odd though, not a clue why this is..

The memory always runs at a divider on K8s. IIRC, cpu:dram dividers are always whole numbers thus if you're at HTT200 11.5 multi and set the DDR400

2300MHz clock.

tries the highest possible DRAM clock keeping under 200MHz

well the 11:1 divider gives 209MHz so that's too high, 12:1 gives 192MHz, perfect.

So your ram will be at 192MHz even though at stock HTT and set to DDR400.

Try these timings ;) (I just got this pair and have a feeling they can do a little better than this) Note: This is original BH-5.....

Yeah, toreide try those spare the trfc...CH can't run 12, IIRC.

Oops...sorry about that...yup ch can only run 14 max ;)
