Hey.

Just got one of these off of Ebay. Wanted to be able to run my pump for a few minutes after shutdown.

But it doesnt seem to work. And I dont know if its dead, or me. My board doesnt have the WOL connector, so Im using the ATX adapter to power it. I have the in and out properly connected as well. The opnly thing I didnt connect was the LED connection. Is it neccessary to run the thing?

Oh, BTW, the manufacturer want help. They act like they never made or sold the thing. So no help there.

Anyway, any thoughts would be helpful.

um because you need a seperate power supply for it, You could have skipped buying it and just got a seperate Power supply and used it to power your main cooling device...

Um... no you dont. runs through either the power out of your WOL connector, or an ATX adapter.

Once your computer is turned off, the ATX power connector is not going to power anything...
Because when the computer shutsdown, so Does the power supply...

not true. If youll notice, if you have a power indicator light on your mobo, it stays on until you physically unplug the PSU. Also, no Wake On..... components would work if there was no power to them, even when the system is not powered on.

Its also why it is always recommended you either unplug, or use the power switch that physically resides on some PSU before changing any hardware.
