I'm new to vmodding my graphics card and I want to vmod JUST my GPUcore. What Vmod's do I do out of the following if I just want to increase Core voltage with a varistor or by another method:
VGPU
VDD
VDDQ
IGPU
VID
Using the VID method found here: http://forums.techpowerup.com/showthread.php?t=2184
Can I connect a switch to all 5 VID's and then just switch them to open/close depending what voltage I want (as set in the table)?
Would that be easier than using a Varistor? I have never used a Varistor before, how do you change the Resistance?
Dont worry. I dont know much know, but with your help (and my Dad, as he is a Radio Technician) I will be able to do this. :)

Also if possible can you please post pictures of your Vmods explaining what/where each component is.
Cheers.
Sean.

would be nice if someone knows one, i already topped my x800 on air, and i want more :)
i once read there is a pencil mod

I think this might help you guys:
http://www.techpowerup.com/articles//overclocking/voltmods/101/1
It dosen't mention the "vanilla" x800, but I think it would be the same. Double check and make sure your pcb layout looks the same
The pencil mod is really easy, but the VR method is a little safer if you feel comfortable soldering on your card

That Does mention non-pro's.

Links dont work for me. But umm... I already looked at techpowerup and the jargon confuses me. Hence why I asked the questions. So can someone please answer the questions. Thanks.

wtf are VDD, VDDQ, VGPU, IGPU? I'm only used to the terms vram and vcore :S

Vdd is the voltage supply for the data registers in the memory. It usually helps the most with memory clocks.
Vddq is the voltage supply for the I/O buffers, and doesn't (usually) have as much effect on the memory clocks as Vdd.
Vgpu is the voltage supply for the GPU.
The IGPU mod (or OCP/OVP mod) increases the overcurrent threshold, so that you can run higher Vgpu. You should only need the IGPU mod if you are running over ~1.7v.
IMO, its best to do the Vgpu mod with a variable resistor. Its much easier to adjust the voltage than VID modding the card. There is a small screw on the front of variable resistors which allows you to change the resistance of the variable resistor, and thus change the voltage.
