Hi guys, this looks like the right place to post my problem, which is that after spending a day trying to get my GSkill FR stable @ DDR600 2.5-4-4-8 1T and I cant,(yes I know the mems rated for 2T but I've not seen a set yet that cant do 1T), Windows MemTest fails at about 110% with my best efforts so far (shown below). I've read through Kakaroto's DDR600 guide, but I fear its some way over my head so I've taken an A64 tweaker screenie of my timings and I'm open to any advice/help you guys may have. Vdimm is 2.8V btw.

Thanks!

@ Atomicpineapple
check the 2T works or not; if still has error, send it to kakaroto for RMA test.
also what other hardware u use?

Sure I'll try that later, I guess that means the rest of my settings look ok? rest of my system is:
X2 3800+
DFI NF4 Ultra-D
Tagan 580 Watt PSU
120GB SATA HDD
Leadtek 7800GTX

Infact just tried that, I'm using Vdimm=2.9, must have forgotten when I typed it up the first time, 2.8 is a no go. Tried 2T, makes matters worse strangely, could you give me an idea what drive and data strengths I should be using?

Try loosening your trc timing from 7 to 9 or 10 and your trfc timing to 15-17. See if that helps. 7 and 14 is too tight for 300 mhz I think. It should work with 1T I think. Also you can try loosening the trtw timing to 3 or 4 from 2.

Actually, trc should be trp + tras....which would be 12, try that AP.

Anything higher or lower is supposedly less stable--even if it is faster. (and MANY of us do run it at speeds other than trp + tras)

Anyway, it *should* work at 7, but as GST said, try it at 2T (what it's rated at) to see if it qualifies for RMA.

Hey Guys, I'd just like to say thanks for all your help, its looking better now, I can get Windows Memtest up to 300% coverage and games/3D Mark run fine too, although PI still errors out instantly, which is odd.

Hi guys sorry to drag this up again, this time im trying for DDR620 cos it fits nicely with my CPU's maximum overclock of 2.8GHz 310x9=2.79Ghz, so just below, and gives me DDR620, anyway I've got these settings that are 1000% memtest for windows stable but the timings suck, especially Trp! Any advice on how to reduce it by changing secondary timings gratefully accepted!
