Hi all
I have been looking for a while to try to find a full tower case that can support a large number (8+) of internal HDD's,
All the full/server cases that i find seem to have 6-8 5.25" external drive bays and only about 4-5 3.5" internal drive bays.
I only need 2-3 5.25" bays and 8+ 3.5" bays.
Anybody got any ideas?
Cheers
Steve

I use the Lian-li v2100 which has 12 internal 3.5 bays and has a super convient method of securing the drives, which allows you to change configuration easily. The v2000 has the same internal layout...

You need huge airflow if you plan to use SCSI drives, the need drops if you stay at 7200 RPM. Regardless eight drives throwing heat will be tough to keep cool if you have any kind of OC.
It's not the drives...they can take the heat no problem it's keeping your chip cool if you have air cooling and high voltage going. I gave up and moved the drives outboard into their own cases (15K SCSI, (10) 36 Gig drives on three channels)
heh yeah what UnG said....its going to kill your system temps....with a large pointy knife....very pointy

or you can use an armor it can take 3 in hdd cage with the 120 fan and another 3 on hdd cage on top of case near the 90 fan and 1 in the included 5.25 to 3.5 adaptor and 1 in the power reset bay.. so the total is 8 or you can buy another hdd cage with its own 120fan for 15-20$ so you can mount 9 only in cages..

Coolermaster has nice 4in3 device racks that fit into 3 5.25 bays and has a 120mm fan blowing onto the drives. Though i'm not sure if they fit in any other cases than their own, i heard they also fit in chieftec cases.
