Hi all! I have several problems with my configuartion...I have a DFI NF4 Ultra-D and first I have an Venice 3000+ 0517APAW that can do 300*9 @ 1,456V...but not a single mhz more...I sold it and the guy I have sold it can get to 2,85ghz withouth problems...than have bought an SD 3700+ that can do 2,7 ghz with 1,6V but as before can`t get a single mhz more...Now I have a X2 3800+ that can do 2,6ghz @ 1,552V but have problems to get it stable now (in this case I cannot get even 1mhz more too!)...first I can do dual prime for more than 16 hours (have do it about 5-7 times with no probs) but now I noticed that my MOBO is starting to do some strange noises when on full load...It is like the Hitachi 7k250 "meowing"...but this is only on full load. Frome the than I have a lot of problems with randomly restart and black monitor screens...is this normal that the MOBO is "meowing"?...I had RMA it because I cannot get my Geil ONE W (bh-5) to work even at stock speed withouth getting errors in memtest and windows instability...I have change the ram and the CPU-u, today I will get a new PSU but if the problems persists I`m thinking of changing my MOBO for another Ultra-D...what do U guys think?

If your using that 480 power supply it could be the cause of your problems. You need at least 485 watt to run the motherboard with a native 24 pin connector and 26 apms on the +12volt rail.

I also have a tagan 480W,will be interested to see if you get better results with your new PSU. Please post back to let us know, personally I dont believe it is your PSU the problem but most likely the mthbrd.

Sure, I will post the results as soon I will receive the new PSU...I think it is the MOBO...but when sent to RMA to the shop after a week of testing they said it has a problem of instability on full load...but when they send the MOBO to the official reseller the do not find any instability problems...(if they even tested the MOBO!)...I will wait till tomorrow to see the results with new PSU...it will bee the same I will sell my MOBO and buy another one...

In english pls ;) The seller has find this bug but...the official reseller for SLO has not found anything...and this is the main problem!...all the electrical parts are in good conditions...So you have sold your malfunctioning ABIT...I`m not that kind of person so I will try to find out the problem and not try to sell a malfunctioning MOBO ;)
Best regards mate!

I don't understand English, nor do I write very well (just duing it for the living :D :D ). No, I sold my Abit board
when I upgraded to Barton 2600+. The board worked just
fine, however, it emitted a very annoying sound even when
the computer was turned off.
Have you tried another DFI board, if there is still the same
problem?

Have asked a lot of friends that have the Ultra-D board and noone noticed this sound...but fortunately I have called the official reseller and they will give me a new board... ...finaly :slapass: After a month of problems and argueing with them...

Great! Yes, I saw on Slo-Tech all the problems you had with your board. Hope the new one will be good. I have mine for
about 6 months now and had no problems so far (I OC a bit, but then I set it to stock, will start OCing again soon :D :D ).
