Ok, just got a few new Delta 120mm fans, need to wire them for my system, however, I do not know how and dont want to make a mistake.
Heres a drawing of what I'm looking at:
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=38302&stc=1
As you can see, it's a typical fan, however, the wires coming out of it are:
Blue/Black/Red in that order.
What no I need to do?
Can I even run them? Are they 24v or something?
Thanks much all! :toast:

I have checked at my boxed A64 heatsink , I think that's a delta fan supplied with,
it's got one red, one black and one blue wire , when I connect the 3 pin on one molex adaptater ( 3pin to 4 pin ) I got red = yellow and black = black ,
so If I'm right red = 12v
black = ground
blue = monotoring
hope it help .

its not a delta....all fans are like tht....you need to wire it to the 3 pin plug and wire plug it into your mobo

Red is the power line, black is the ground line, blue is the RPM sense line.
Wire them to molexes, you should never plug stuff into the mobo and steal power from the CPU.

Beware though, if it's a 120mm Delta (190CFM), do NOT plug it into the mobo headers, run it off a Molex -->3 Pin converter.
If you try to tun a fan like a 120mm Delta EHE off your headers, your board is unlikely to survive for long.
