I'm running version 3.7 BIOS on an MSI K8N Neo4/SLI (MS-7100) motherboard with 2GB (4x512) of Mushkin Value 3200 RAM. I can't seem to get over 2450MHz.

When I set memory dividers, the motherboard automatically defaults the RAM timings to the new speeds - faster speeds for 333, and 266 for example. Unless I manually set them, the faster timings it assigns are already unstable with the current overclock. I don't have a great understanding of RAM timings, but I'm learning what I can. TREF is the bane of my existance, and I think a lot of my problems are stemming from there.

My RAM can't run much above 410, so I'm at the point where I need to reduce the RAM divider to 133 (the only available decrease on my motherboard). Unfortunately, I can't seem to get it stable when I decrease the divider. Any help on getting past this bottleneck would be much appreciated.

Get your self some better ram, lock the PCI clock, crank the voltage and try not to fry anything...
Oh and disable the onboard sound...

How do you lock PCI clock? and disable onboard sound can help?

set ALL spread spectrum to disabled and it will get you an extra 2-3 mhz....

I've already disabled all spread spectrums, and ensured that the HT isn't running above spec. Voltages are all within range and heat isn't an issue. PCIe bus is locked. The system is stable as a rock at 2450. Going higher simply pushes my RAM out of spec and causes instability. If I drop the divider to 133, the system won't even POST.

I've already confirmed that changing dividers using any AUTO settings will assign timings based on the new speed - in this case 266. The only setting I have on AUTO with memory is TREF. Manually attempting to find a stable TREF has resulted in only limited success.

For whatever reasons, MSI decided to remove the 150/180 dividers with BIOS versions 3.7 and 3.6, so dropping to one of those is out. Buying new hardware is also not really in the cards at this time, so that's out as well.

Available TREF options are:

1552
2064
2592
3120
3632
4128
4672
128

Use 3120. Its the best for ddr400 ram.
