question: can you run it as a service (I mean: with a hidden icon?)

it seems as it has it's effects on my FAD-rating, since I Installed the client on my computer, my rating has dropped from 180 to 170. I'm letting it on for the night, but if it has dropped below 170 than it has to go :mad:

wel, it's still running, so that's positive ;)

It seems as if javaw.exe absorbed all my proc power, I manually shutted it off and my Fad rating jumped back to 180.
So now I'm still producing points for FAD and for dimes :D :banana:

Keep on Diming ;)

if you leave the main window of DIMES open it'll use about 10-40% of your cpu cycles.... if you just have it in the toolbar all it uses is memory and maybe 2-3% of the cpu every once and a while.

How do we get it to just stay fixed to the toolbar?

By the way, I just joined and have it working on two machines. One stays on 24/7 for the most part so a few more pts for us. :)

I think if u just click out of it, it will go into the toolbar.

Yeah, just click the X button and it'll drop down to the toolbar... btw, does anyone know how often they update the sigs? My sig says I'm at 1400 points, but I passed 10k today..... so I'm thinking that they only update it every few days or so.

Interesting.. look at some of our sigs.. you would think they would be synched but they appear not to be. I joined yesterday and am ranked 46 of 65 as of today.. now mtb856's post at this time shows he is 51 of 59.. it should be showing 65 right??

It seems like my sig doesn't update.... hmmm.

It seems like yours is updating b/c it's showing the score that you got as of today.

Maybe I should just try reloading the sig... maybe there was an error in it.

*edit*

reloaded it, now lets see if it updates... it's supposed to update every hour

added another machine today, it will only be on for about 20 hours a week (4 reload's a minute and bandwith of 35kb/s), but all the bits help!

another question: does increasing the bandwith helps alot?
On my 24/7 machine I'm on 1kb/s and 4 reload's a minute, I have some headroom for changing the bandwith to 10-15kb/s, is it worth it?
