Hi,
So, after much waiting and messing around with my WCing configs, I am almost done, and almost ready to order, but a few final questions remain.
Firstly, let me say I am going to get a ThermoChill HE120.3, with two 40mm shrouds in 6 fans, in a push/pull config.
1. On OCUK they have the HE120.3, the the PS120.3 shrouds, and these: http://store.over-clock.com/neoprenegasket.jpg, which are "ThermoChill Neoprene Gaskets". I was wondering whether these are including with the rad. or the shrouds., and if they are not, are they completely necessary, as I don't want to order from the UK as shipping is over 1/2 the price (15 Pounds).
2. I know I need fittings for the radiator, but I can't seem to find what I need, except for at OCUK, what I need are two : 3/8" BSPT 1/2" Barb's, so, is there anywhere in the states I can order these from?? As I said before, I don't want to order from abroad if possible.
3. I am going to changing my entire case config, and switching my current Mountain Mods U2-UFO with a MM U2-UFO Opti-1203, and with that large (no pun intended) switch, I am also going to be changing my fans for something new. I was thinking along these lines >> Panasonic Panaflo FBA12G12M1A 120mm Case Fan << (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835180087); are these fan's a good choice?, do they respond well to being on a fan controller?? Are there any other good choices, if the Panaflo are not a great choice?
Thanks so much for your help!

Yan, I would WAIT for the PA120.3 which will be out next week... you could use 25mm thick fans at ~ 55cfm for nice results... this is an updated version of the HE series and will perform better with fans under ~ 110 CFM or so.

I guess I will wait, any idea how long until they hit the USA? And will they have seperate shrouds, or will the PS120.3's work with them?
Thanks nikhsub1

I believe the shrouds will work as the rad is the exact same dimensions as the HE...

OK, what is the difference between the HE and the new PA series'?
Thanks, but what about the questions themselves, assuming I am using the PA120.3?
TIA

If you don't want to wait for the PA120.3 (I would wait because the PA120.3 will be available on Monday), just order the HE120.3 and it's accessories from dangerden.com (US Thermochill distributor).

Well.......... I am waiting for the PA120.3..........
Now, the questions that I am still pondering:
I am going to get a ThermoChill PA120.3, with two 40mm shrouds and 6 fans, in a push/pull config, I am going to be buying from Danger Den.
1. On OCUK they have these: http://store.over-clock.com/neoprenegasket.jpg, which are "ThermoChill Neoprene Gaskets". They don't have them on Danger Den though, and I was wondering if they are included with the shrouds, are they??
2. I know I need fittings for the radiator, but I can't seem to find what I need, except for at OCUK, what I need are two : 3/8" BSPT 1/2" Barb's, so, is there anywhere in the states I can order these from?? I don't want to order from abroad if possible.
3. I am changing my case for another Mountain Mods, and I was wondering if these are good fans for the job? >> Panasonic Panaflo FBA12G12M1A 120mm Case Fan << (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16835180087), or would something else (suggestions welcome) be better?

You dont need the gaskets, i dont use them, those fans are way too much money... you can use 25mm thick fans, look into mechatronics or something similar. http://www.coolerguys.com/840556034032.html

OK, thanks for the info, I am not sure about the fan's, if they don't need to be 120x38 mm, then I will go for LED fans, if I find anything I like.
nikhsub1, for your Thermochill, where do you get the fittings for it? From OCUK? or somewhere else?
Thanks,
Yan
PS- Will it be available soon after monday in the US, or just in the UK?

I have the ub3r l337 fittings from taiwan, but yes, the rad should come with 3/8" and 1/2" plastic barbs.

Yan, those are the Panaflos that are a bit toned down. The U1As offer max performance and can be near silent at lower RPMs (if you have a FSC). U1A specs: 113CFM and 55dB

Thanks again,
I am now waiting for the rad. so I can delve deeper into fans.
Price aside, are the Panasonic Panaflo's good? These are the same, are they not, except for price?

They pretty much are the same, But why not go for something a little higher?
E.g. 130CFM Delta, $6.50 on Ebay.

Noise.... I need something that can be slowed down without additional noises/problems.

Well you can always grab the delta's, Grab a couple of switches and make a switch system to move from 7v-12v on the go.
Then you always have the option to have a bit more air moving if you ever need it.

hey ^_^
man i was gonna post that link to the ebay fans lol.
I bought 3 of them cause Im looking for more performance.
The difference between the PA and HE is the PA is made for lower flow fans and for the people who "Would like less noise but with the performance they are used to".

Yeah, But sometimes its a little better to suffer for the best performance. (Or get Noise-Insulating headphones. ;))
BTW, Saw that link on here just earlier, Good deal, Would be a nice upgrade from these 80CFM Sunons.

I have 3x fan controllers, so I am set for 12 fans, all going to be 120mm, except for one 80mm. Are the Panaflo's good????

I am not looking for the HIGH CFM fans, just something 70++, under 40 D.B.

well, My current heatsink is doing 46 dba and with my headphones on ( noise insulated ) I cant hear a thing, plus I prefer a headset on when I game :).
and I kinda like the noise, but Im sitting about 20 feet from my comp right now and can hear it fairly well lol.

I don't use headphones.
What I have been trying to get info on is not whether it is noisy or not, but ARE THEY GOOD FANS??? NOISE/CFM ASIDE?
Can I be much clearer than that?
Thank you

been having problems finding a thread about harddrives, this is my question i'm planning on running 2 10k raptors in raid but i already have a wd250 7200rpm hd. Will i be able to run the 2 raptors in raid 0 or 01 or which ever one it is while mirroring to my wd 250. Or is any of this possible with what i'm thinking of doing. If so can some one help in explaining how it is done, or if is even possible.

Well, I may be a beginner in these particular forums, But that question sure doesn't belong in the Liquid Cooling section. ;)
