The fan came with my P180 does 39CFM @ 25dBA and 56CFM @ 28dBA in the manual, which I refuse to believe because the difference between these too settings are two dramatic, it's definitely not 3dB. So I would like to know which fan can do 56CFM at a real low noise rating.

The one on the Big Typhoon can....not sure if that's sold separately though.

SilenX also can....but those are overrated and overpriced, IMO.

I checked Yate Loon and Nexus, well, haven't found one that's really good.

actually one Nexus that does 42 cfm at 23db is pretty good, if flow rate is in the upper 40's it would be perfect.

Nexus = Yate Loon + a resistor.....what's the one on the BT? Yate Loon?

If you can't stand the noise. Grab a fan controller or either run them on 5V/7V. It's a waste of space imo to have a fan that rarely pushes anything on 12V. That way the fan is always flexible when in time you need more cooling power :D

Recently purchased Silverstone FN-121 from newegg, I have to say it's the best fan I ever owned, significantly quieter than panaflo L.

I've been searching for the same thing. I've got it down to either the silenx(if they are twice as loud as advertised thats still not THAT loud) OR thermaltake thunderblades. I am leaning thunderblades + fan controller for now but that could change, maybe I'll try out the silverstones...

Both silenx and thermaltake seem too good to be true. 21dba @ 78cfm??? if thats true then thunderblade is the way to go for sure even if they do have silly lights on them. Can anyone say for sure if these things come close to those ratings?

Thermaltake and SilentX inflate their results or test differently. If you want to know the real truth about silence and fans go to: www.silentpcreview.com

people seem to spit on thermaltake and I see a lot of negative things said about most of the fans they have but I havent seen much if anything about the thunderblade specifically. Has anyone tried these out first hand?
