Ok so i'm at college and i'm only allowed 1 IP. I'm trying to get my girlfriends computer internet through my computer as i do not have a router handy. the DFI NF4 has 2 lan ports...so what can i do/how should I set up the network to allow her to take internet from my PC?

Note: this is allowed by my school they just wont tell you how.

just buy a standard LAN crossover cable (cheap ten bucks) and connect her PC your to your second port.... there you're done. Set up internet connection sharing with the wizard and it's all old news.

10 bucks wtf? It costs much cheaper, depends on length ofcourse.
By the way, if I remember right, Marvell LAN on DFI NF4 does not need crossover cable. I had it connected directly to another PC type router with straight through cable.

A crossover cable switches the placement of one pair of the four pairs so that you do not need a hub/switch to communicate from PC to PC directly.
