I like the old Stacker design better. Too bad they didnt just change the side panel and roof fan mounting.

side fan bracket can hold anything, like 4x120mm fans. Monstercore anyone? ;)
I think it's a very nice looking case.

I too think it's a sexy looking case. Better than any case I've seen (inclyding Lian-Lis and SS cases). But I bet it's going to be expensive :( That's why I got the Aurora instead :(

moonlightcheese

how much was the aurora?

Completely agree... The old styling with an inner side-mount to house a Weapon MonsterCore and a slide-over side-panel would be sweet.

i dunno if that clear plastic would be able to support a monstercore and be stable. it seems sort of frail. i was thinking along the lines of a PA120.2 to go on the side panel there. the height of this case is much more reasonable than the gigabyte aurora.

it kinda gives me an idea for my next mod. i'm probably selling my WC case when i finish it so i can do it all over again. ^_^

Released?
Wouldn´t think so...

Where can you buy one anyway?
(Not including preoders)

There is a "guess the price" contest going on over at coolermaster.com. The contest ends 22.october!
Would think that the stacker 2/stacker 830 would come out after that, other wise "guess the price" wouldn´t make ANY scense!

Wonder if i can get this 9x120 cage into my old stacker? :slobber: w/ some mods ofcourse.

it's not a 9x120 cage.....it's 9x120 total.....a 4x120 cage is the one on the side.

Ahhh sorry didn't look at it closely... this thing would be a monster in height if it was 9x120 ;) still think it'll fit into the old stacker?

Fairydust

Dimensions are diffeerent, side panel different, so it's not a simple swap. But with sime handywork you can fit 4 x 120 in the old side panel too, or 1 x 30 ;P

i was looking at getting the stacker since it looks like it has excellent air flow, and would work very well with water cooling. i wonder if you could mount a radiator on the side panel with all 4 120m fans with this case?

A monster core with shroud and fans on that side panel would be badass, but for one, I think it'd be too large width and height-wise. Then of course you have the depth, and bam...a monster core would be crushing your graphics card and memory.

Perhaps dual MCR 2x120mm rads?

damn thats a beast of a box
i wonder how much it'll run ~ $300?

My guess is approximately 316-320 dollars. I would buy it but I'm happy with my regular Stacker...We'll see.

Excuse me sir, but how can you be so sure it's gonna be priced at <300$ or even 200$? That was an extremely overweening post... Stop it. Wait for the official press release before you make such fatuous announcements.

I have found one store in Sweden and they priced the Stacker 830 at a whopping 315$.

I'll probably stay with the old Stacker 810 unless this new version turns out to be really good.

I feel the thing has way too many 5.25 bays..... I think you should only need 6 maximum and that is if your going with a water cooling kit (like that their aquagates) that fits in 2 of em...... 5 would be more ideal...... and then more HDD space. :D. But eh, the over all design isnt too bad... little bit eh...... I would have liked it a couple of years ago... when I thought almost all cases that I saw looked cool in someway... but ever since I have been getting more and more into case modding....... buying something that looks like that just isnt feasible.

I don't like it, it's pug ugly, just like everything CM have released since axing ATCS (not counting the original Praetorians, which were just copies). If i had to buy a new case, unless it was ATC or an original Praetorian, it would definitely not be a Cooler Master.
Edit: Oh yah, wavemasters are nice too, how could i forget them!

All CM suck, except from ATCS series ;) Well known fact.

That's a stupid and arrogant comment. At least add an "IMO"... Personally, I love the Stacker and couldn't ask anything better.

muadibb i was referring to an estimated price in the early postings. Somebody (or a few people) estimated it to be around 250 to 300, so that is where I drew my suggestion from. You need to relax bub. ;) WTF H4X

i dont like the fact that there is no side window, modding it is easy but its just something that should be pre-cut IMO, i just like the windows, if the top wasnt filled with usb crap and there was a nice window like the wavemasters have id probly buy it
