it's going on an x2 3800+ in a dfi ultra D
I'm a total newbie to this, so i just have a few questions:

1. Does it make a real difference?
2. How do I know when to stop using each grit size? :)
3. Which grit sizes do i need?
4. Is there any danger of me damaging it?

basically i'm just asking for a guide... maybe you guys could give me a link to one if it exists.

Thanks a lot

I think the flatter the hs surface, the better contact with the IHS. Is it going to make a 8-10c difference? No, but it can make 3-5c, and that can mean more MHz. Little things(ram timings, cpu temps, etc) can make small gains by themselves but add up to a nice gain together.
