View Full Version : Is my 7800gtx loosing it's spunk

i reinstalled windows xp pro and did a stock bench and scored ~200 points lower than my original stock bench. So i finally get my 3700+ stable on air @ 2.89Ghz close enough to claim 2.9 (LMAO) and i started overclocking my card and i cant seem to get it to want to run anything over 500Mhz core on air anymore, it crashes at GT2.

what are some things that will let me know if my cards is crapping out?

A. Get SP2

B. Get the latest approved Drivers for the gtx.

C. Try the 8x.xx drivers if there's no diff.

D. When overclocking, let the card rest after every single run (they're 4 in all) - need 3dmark05 pro for this.
