Why have water cooling if it is only marginally better than really solid air cooling? Perhaps noise is an issue with you. For me it is not!!.
Wife, Kids, TV's Stereos, Barking dogs! Give me the staedy drone of some cooling fans!!! Well Let's see what I mean by way better than air

My System:
Water cooling is indeed a very good solution!!! It keeps temps much lower and you have far less variation in those temps.

I run a Prescott 540J 3.2 ghz Processor. Nicknamed' "Preshott"
My motherboard Epox 5PDAJ. My memory 2x256 G.Skill PC4400LE
1 200 gig Maxtor Sata HDD, Liteon DVD-Rom, Liteon DVD-RW
ATI Radeon X850XT, Antec Tru-Power 550.

My cooling System,
Eheim 1250 Pump $52US , Swiftech 6002-775 Water-block $41US
Heater Core From 1976 Buick Electra Limited, bought new at auto parts
store for $21US. My fan is a Dayton 4C447 squirrel cage fan. $47US.
This fan moves so much air it blow air right out through your intake fans!!
If you can't let enough of it pass through your case and out again.
you see I keep the fan on the floor and route the air to my radiator through
a dryer hose. (4in. dia approx 10cm ) Then it goes into some heater
ducting to spread out the air over my radiator Hose $7US Duct $5US
Duct tape $2US. My resevoir is made from pvc The pipe, the caps,
the fittings, and the hose to run all this liquid came to $14US
Approx $190US.
OK so how well does it cool. Well I'll tell you it keeps things really
Cool Here is a shot running PCMark04 at 4400mhz!!! Check out
My cpu temp!!

I have never seen a Prescott even idle at that 25C before.
Here is a shot of just how high all this cooling will let me go!!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/ghghghg.jpg
Now here are some shots of my cooling setup..
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/WZ3-1.jpg
Yes that water block is oriented correctly on my board!!
I cut 2 120mm holes in my panel then joined them to make
one big nice one for air to easily get through me radiator
and into my case.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/68.jpg
Here is a pic of the rad in it's box.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/66.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/103.jpg
This is how it looked with 2 120mm fans. you will notice also I keep
My pump out of my case. It is a heat source and a potential
Hi-pressure wash!!! Although I have never had a leak in nearly 5 years
of liquid cooling! Now the Squirrel cage fan. This is a shot of my old one.
I now have a new one.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/MVC-004F.jpg The coolest air is on the floor. when it is cold out I set it out the
Door.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/MVC-005F.jpg Is this system beautiful duct tape and all. With my temps I think
it is!! I run daily at 4300 mhz. that is my video work and game playing
speed Hey you may think it is a bit much. But you have to decide what
want I know most everyone who posts in forums wants the same things
MORE SPEED and cooler temps. My set up gives me both.

holy mother of god... now that is a fan...

with that much airflow you could do direct die air cooling

I got one of those blowers...they are REALLY huge. (depth problems later)

No no it is not some huge abortion. It is a 4 inch and it fan Moves around 300cfm quietly!

Actually that beast has been replaced by a brand new one!! Although it still works perfectly. It is 15 years old. So I am going to cllean it ,paint it and use it for a back up! They still sell that same model today. It must be a good one! It is a nice cool nigh here. I have that slider cracked open a couple inches and I am running Folding@Home in the background and have been all evening here is a look at my current temps

man, that's freakin xtreme, props to u. Kinda dissapointed in your pump choice though, hehe.

pump power doesnt really matter when it comes to the 6002.. it doesnt mind low flow at all.

You know when I got my first eheim pump a few years back. It just just never had a malfunction. I put together several systems wth them and none have ever failed. So I stuck with them. As for it being on the outside, A friend of mine was running a Hydor pump in his case and it turned into a hi-pressure washer in there.

I have a friend currently working on a radiator design with a Blower type fan/s. They are supposed to be the efficient movers of air, is this true? You did say a 4" diameter "cage" moving 300CFM if I read correctly?

Would that be 4" diameter X 4" cage width?

Liquid, Blowers work VERY well for radiators, as rads have high airflow restrction. Blower fans best feature is there insane static pressure, which is required for good airflow through the radiator..

so yes it is true.

Liquid the way my intake is setup on my case the radiator sits right be hind the all the drives. There were 2 80mm fans down in front that blew air over my hdd's That is why all the little vent noles in the door of case for that air to be drawn in, Here isa pic of front of case
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/106.jpg
See all those holes down by the key lock on the door for air intake. Well when I turned on the squirrel cage fan the pressure on those to 80mm fans was too much. and the air just blew right through them and out of the case door. It was so cold some days that I just removed the fans and used duct tape to block off the holes. I was Freezing!!!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/IMG_1048A.jpg
I really do not need other fans in the case I have them for light effect only!! cuz anywhere there is a hole air just blasts out!! Oh by the way it is a 265CFM fan.
Here is a link for you to check it out.

Here is a link for an adapter so you do not have to tape a round hose on a square outlet

Great, great work my friend. Nice customization and a unique color to boot. it looks as if you've used a PVC pipe section for wat looks to be a 2ft tall Reservoir? Where does that tube go which is sticking straight up in the air? You have a quick-connector plugged into a storm cloud? Or are ya doing a head-feet test (literally)?

When your fan (blower) moves so much air your freezing, then I'd say you've definately accomplished something there... :)

Hey Liquid. Thanks, I leave that top little fill tube open I keep the res filled to the top.
I leave that open so the is never any pressure in the system from the solution getting warmer than it was when i filled it. Hey you fill a system with water Approx 58Fto 65F. What is that? 14 to 18C You test it and get all the bubbles out and then you cap it off, put it over your prcessor,GPU and Northbridge. Your system is good but still it warms up even to say 30C that coolant is expanding a lot. your system is closed. So the hoses you have as well as the pump housing must be able to stand the pressure buildup inside the system. Say you put in liquid and it gets colder than it was when it originally went in. Every thing is tight and sealed. Now you have created a vaccuum and it is trying to suck air in at every connection. In a vehicle you need to run your cooling system under pressure. It has a cap that will relieve if the pressure gets to great. However with a computer when the pressure is relieved it is a disaster. So when I build a system I design it so there is no pressure, either positive or negative.
OK Now give me the link to the Description of your system cuz it looks fascinating.
I just need to know.
Oh and thanks for the comment on my case. The name of this particular case is WeldZilla 2 " A New Beginning" Started like this,
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/1.jpg
Just an innocent enermax CS-181-B
Then it became this
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/5.jpg
With a little of this
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/20.jpg
It ended up like this!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v253/WeldZilla/desk_1.jpg
Yes I built my own computer desk and painted it to match the case! Still going to get that NEC monitor
