This pic encompasses how I get my temps so low in my case(s)
(Need to vacuum this weekend I see in my pic  )
1. Note heatsink AS AL epoxied to the NB (Digikey special (HS322-ND on page 671 of latest catalog/maybe web page too?) corrupted to my purposes. In my wifes puter the TTBT cools it enough that it stays @ about 42c max. Mine (pic) has no CPU fan, thus recycled a AMD HSF fan on a piece of AL angle attached to a standoff. Keeps mine @ 40-41c (set the nb threshold in bios for 40c) almost silent :D. I like the idea posted elsewhere of mounting a standoff in place of a screw on the MB and screw a threaded rod in then the fan onto that :D HSF gets very warm w/o any airflow, so it get the heat out where you can get @ it.
2. 120mm fan to cool memory, seems to work fine
3. Note 70 mm fan mentioned above on standoff, if there is no hole available in your case, and you have the room, just make one! You can just see the screw mount to the left of the tubing and the right of a HD power cable
4. And of course my spring-loaded mounting for the G5 :D

Hope this helps people
