I just built a new system: amd 3500+, 1gb corsair mem, 2 80gb sata II drives in Raid 0, asus an8-sli board. Everything I download and try to run I get an error about corrupted files. It doesn't matter where I download it from. I can download the same file two or three times and it may work. I tried downloading spybot 3 times and everytime I tried to install it I got this error. The 3 time it actually let me install it with no errors and this was downloading it from the same site. Any ideas?

Do you have another drive you could hookup and try downloading to?

I don't have another drive. When I setup the Raid I set the stripe size to 128k. Could this be causing the problem? I can installing anything off of CD or DVD with no problem. I just have problems trying to open files I downloaded.

Maybe you have some sort of virus? I once had a virus on an old computer that would corrupt the first few bytes of every file with certain extensions.

I had the very same problem yesterday. Nivdia Firewall was the culprit. I turned it off the problem was gone.

Change lan cables and ensure the clear cmos jumper is in the normal position (had a K8SLI do this to me while it ran with the damn jumper in clear).
