I'm building a new system (actually been planning and ordering for a little over a month)

O.k. The original plan was to water cool a radeon 9700 Pro, and get a prometia for the proc. Well I got all my water cooling stuff in, and I ordered the prometia, but I with all the other crap I bought (and am buying) I need to scale back to save some green.

I was going to go with a granite bay and a 3.06 with a gig of corsair.

I was (and am still) leaning toward the gigabyte GA-8INXP. (anyone know of any clearence issues with the prometia and this board?)

What I would like to know is what is the current king of overclocking (keep the phase change cooling in mind)

600+ for the 3.06 is no longer feasable.

I read that 2.66's were pretty dope, but were hard to come by, if anyone knows were I can get one let me know.

Then agan the 2.4 are a bill cheaper but I read (here in fact) that some have not had much luck ocing them.

Also I'm going to have to go with 1/2 gig of corsair xms3500 instead of a gig.

What do you guys think?

Aaron

btw when its done, it'll it will be folding for xtreme:toast:

Newegg (http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduct.asp?DEPA=1&submit=manufactory&catalog=343&manufactory=1157&description=&Order=priceD) has:
2.8 for 383 free shipping
2.6 for 309 " "
2.66 for 300 ditto again:D

Btw, Welcome to Xtreme!:D
