Ive been running into some damned annoying issues here lately with my 6800GT. It will do one of three things. Gradually start to artifact till polygons get so mistrewn, then lock up. BSOD with the IRQL error, then the most recent issue, A strange pattern of lighter colours. That came after modding the card to 1.4.
Whats strange is that Rthdribl never showed any artifacting, locking or the last issue and ive had it running for a few hours before. Games though like to do one of the previously mentioned within 5-30 min of action.
I have changed to a diffrent power supply and got higher, more stable clocks at 1.4, but even at lower clocks and back at the 1.3 setting I still sometimes get these problems.
