Best CFM:dBa 120mm fan? SilenX? A1926? Panaflo? Evercool?

Silenx has 120mm fans that are 58CFM and 14dBA, which is almost a 4.5:1 noise ratio.
Thermaltake's A1926 is 79 CFM and 21 dBa, which is almost a 4:1 noise ratio.

Are these companies lying? Do they actually blow THAT much air at such a LOW noise level? Im planning to replace my entire case cooling setup. Right now my case is full of fans with 40-48.5dBa and 100+ CFM. Im running them on my fan controller and even when it's all turned down, I still hear noise in the background. I want to change this completely but I want to keep good cooling performance. I need some 120mm fans that can push huge amounts of air at LOW noise levels.

If the two I listed above are scams, then I'll probably have to go with Panaflos 120x1203x38 Medium, 86.5CFM @ 35.5dBa and run it through my fan controller...or Evercool's Aluminum 80CFM @ 30dBa..

Recommend me something I can't refuse!!!

im getting a venice 3000+ or 3200+ and im overclocking it 800-1ghz....
im cooling it with a si-120, xp-120 or xp-90...... what fan do you recommend? it has to perform decently cause 1GHZ OC is a lot.. ideally temps < 50 are wanted..

also:

im running a x850xt on stock cooling but im gonna upgrade cooling to ati silencer 5 soon..

im also going to buy 1-2 more hdds so ill have 2-3 hdds in total..

my antec 3700 takes 2x120mm fans.. so i need decent airflow in and out of case..

BUT I WANT TO BE AS QUIET AS POSSIBLE! solution? please recommend!

SilenX have brand new 120mm 1500rpm/14db/64CFM fans out, i got mail back today about info and they are unlike older ones pros and cons to if they really run that rpm and other facts peeps said were inacurrate, these fans im told are new metalic powder coated and have new redesigned blades with smalled cone shaped fan hub holding smaller motor.

I posted in other thread but just look on www.silenx.com

Well if you havnt brought a cpu heatsink, i would immediatly go with the thermaltake big typhoon, beats any other heatsink out there for dead cheap (and cheap watercooling aswell), pushing 54.4 CFM at 16dBA.

isnt this site known for bashing silenx and thermaltake? those stats look skewed to me, and thats what evryone else says..

the question then is.. which fans have a considerable amount of CFM but <= 30 dBA?

upon conclusion, these two are the ones i have found:

Evercool 120x25, 79CFM, 30dBA..ball bearing
Panaflo L1A 120x38, 69CFM, 30dBA..HydroWave

which one is better + quiter on a SI-120?

silenx is complete BS. go to silentpcreview.com and run a search for them, they are not even close to those numbers.

Thermaltake's A1926 is 79 CFM and 21 dBa, which is almost a 4:1 noise ratio.

You cant really count it like that because adding 10db doubles the noise, so if you have 30 instead of 20 it is not a 50% increase, but rather a 100% increase.

You should definately read some reviews before buying because some manufacturers, like SilentX, tend to skew their ratings so you wont really get what you hoped.

vapb400, Have you even see the new SilenX fans or you thinking of the ones that we can all read pros and cons about ?.
I dont agree with misinfo but ive never read a bad revoew about the 120mm fans LED or non LED.

I doubt you have seen new ones cause there just out and i got mail back today from them telling me poss in 2 months we will see the LED fans take on this new style for now there the old ones.

I can wait. :)

Just use the big typhoon and the stock fan...it is quiet as nothing and it will keep your proc cool as ice....im going strong with 30 idle and 41 or so load on a 4400@ 2.4

i'm also planning on a big typhoon for my x2 3800... i will have it on a DFI ultra D board... i am told that i need some longer screws or something... anyone know where i might be able to find those. Also, does anyone know how much of an advantage i would gain if i would replace the stock fan with a panaflo L1A

38dBA is loud? O_o
at 7v (modded) they're about as loud as nexus fans IIRC.

Silent, but bad CFM...
I'd like glacialtech Silentblade, or some Thermaltake stufs for silent PCs.

The Sanyo Denkis I have in my case @ 12V move ~109CFM and make almost no noise. The only noise that can be heard is from the air moving through the aluminum holes in the front of my case so quickly. At around 7-8V they are pretty much completely silent and still move well over 60CFM. Ask anyone around, Sanyo Denkis are by far the best 120mm fans ever made.

You sure about that? I read that if you have a 48db fan and you add another 48db fan, the overall noise increases to 51db and 3db more for each fan at 48db. So if I had 4, 48db fans, the overall db would be 57db.

I have that Thermaltake 21dba fan and it's quite loud the stock fan is damn near silent. Still pushing 79 cfm, at what I would estimate about 30-35db is decent. Still that only gained me about 1-2 deg load. The stock fan on the Big Typhoon works great!
