Looks real good, plays excellent. It really captures the chaos of battle. Detail of your teammates is excellent, sometimes it seems like they are trying to make eye contact when giving commands. Team AI works great. Give it a try if you liked the first COD.

Humm graphics dont look improved at all  ,kind of look similar to MOHAA Breakthrough.

BF2 set the new standard for FPS graphic quality,I really wish COD2 developers at least tried to keep up with it...

Although the graphics are s hit, they eat up all your hardware.

played it this morning, and its a huge improvement over the original CoD. Cant compare to BF2 since I havent played BF2. But this demo is great looking, and really intense. Can't wait for the full game.

My point is ;I simply refuse to spend ~$60.00CAD on a game running an old *tired*graphic engine.

I'm getting too picky since I began playing BF2, now everything else looks mediocre or worse lol :P

^^On the other hand, call of duty is kinda notorious for its chaotic atmosphere, in a good way that is. .. Not so much for graphics ..

The gameplay is simply great, even in Single player ... Too bad i never got around to really play Call of Duty... i missed the hype and will not be getting into this game i think ...

don`t judge the game by the screenshots alone, the game itself plays great, very exciting chaotic action and the breathing when your hit makes you wanna just think about what your gunna do next.

They should use the ragdoll effect on corpses. I hate when they penetrate through stairs, walls etc everytime you kill them. They don't fall very realistically either. I personally think it's a s hit game.

Yes, I know. I used to play CoD alot and I really agree with you that the gameplay and chaotic action is one of a kind which I haven't seen in any other game.

damn short for a demo... thought it would be at least a good 30 mins play considering its nearly 700mb... but it lasts about 10 mins. theres loads of multiplayer files inside the games files , wonder if its possible to get multi running

It runs like crap indeed... I get 10 fps in 1680x1050 maxed (60 in CS:S/DoD:S at those settings) and around 30-40 at 800x600 minimum... wtf! 6800@ 12x6 450/900 2.6ghz a64

I'm playing at default settings, looks just as good as the screenshots above, with 4x AA and I get pretty damn nice fps.

It looks like BF1. Pretty boring looking. Whatever happened to buildings?

What I find funny is I needed people to tell me how crappy there FPS were. I played through the whole thing, I enjoyed it even though it definitely appears to be more of the same. Then after everyone complaining I fire it up to see 20 to 30 fps!! :o I noticed a little chop but dizzamn, I needed a meter to let me know! Oh well, game 10x more enjoyable without a meter. Don't look, Don't do it!!!

One crappy thing is SLI guys get same or worse results. The option actually goes back to no for Dual card support as well.

I completely agree... played with max quality settings even with this system and it was playable and ran very smooth but I'm sure the FPS is a lot lower than what I think, dun wanna look at it. Here's a screenshot from the end of demo:

This demo made me want to crack out CoD1 again. It was never really about the best action game, it was about the best plot driven war game, which it easily gets. Cant wait, anyone got a release date?

Indeed, I dont have the high-end hardware here, but F.E.A.R played waaaay better on my PC, really smooth (1024x768 with high quality settings, just shadows disabled). Playing COD2 I tried 800x600 with lowest quality setting and the game is simply unplayable  :slapass:

P.S I got 23K+ on 3DM01 and sandra shows 4000MB/s+ on mem bandwidth so my PC isn't that bad.

The F.E.A.R Demo set the standard for short demos...but everyone understood cos development costs can only allow so much for a freebie to the public.

I've said it before, DoD:S maybe online only, but with HDR and what not, it looks a lot better than CoD2, and gameplay earned it an 8+/10 in most reviews - not bad for agame with one of the most advanced gaming engines retailing for $20 ;)

played the demo a week ago. it's really ownage!

the graphic isn't that special, but the ambient sounds and the sound in generally is just awesome! never heard such a real ambient sound on my 5.1 system as in the cod2 demo.
i bet the full game is going to thrill! hehe

COD is all about aiming down the sight, which is unique and oh so much fun. You also need to move like you would in war, using cover, crawling prone, flanking your enemy.

Just got a dell 2005fpw, and went back and started playing the single player version of COD:UO @ 1680x1050 with every possible image tweak on

and WOW. I had stopped after the first level last year in favor of online play, but this is quite a belated treat. dogfighting is sweet. plays like every good WWII movie you have ever seen.

Can't wait for COD2, though the multiplayer makes or breaks a game. COD had that in spades, we will see how COD2 handles it.
