I am just about to purchase a GAINWARD 6600GT 128MB from some guy on a fourm. The only problem I have is that I don't know if the card/company is good!

Any comments on GAINWARD and their 6600GTs?

Dont double post threads. As for your question, Gainward is a pretty good card company, I have heard good things about them in the past.

I can't help you more than to say my temporary eVGA 6600GT is great, good luck!

Shouldn't be a problem. I also heard many good things about them and the golden sample is very, very good.

The card:

I own a Gainward GF3 Ti200 and have never had any problems with it since I had it 3 years ago. It O/C's quite well.

So I personally think Gainward are a good company.

The Golden Samples are known for their higher than regular cards overclocking. You should fare well.

Unless your unlucky and get a bad card, then yes it should O/C pretty well

golden samples are manufacturer guaranteed overclock of a set amount , my 6800 ultra was 30 on core and 50 (100) or so on mem. core went 50 over stock with stock cooling no probs. they would be really good if they didnt charge so much

Look for some Zalman; Thermalright, or AC for cooling that 6600GT maybe...

Gainward is a good choice, i don't know nowdays but those from the old school are quite good.
