Hi,

I've got the onboard sound all set up and working. But i want to plug my 5.1 speakers into it.

Thisi s the problem, i only have the three onboard ports on the I/O pannel. Line out, Line In and Mic.

How do i connect up my 5.1 speaker system??

you can buy an extra card for the 8rda+ to have all outputs but don't ask me where to buy ;) maybe @ epox hp

There's supposed to be a program, which alters the outputs into, Rear/Front/Center, or was it SUB, I'm not sure... But on the extra bracket, there's only a SP/Dif output

I don't have an extra bracket!

I'll jsut e-mail Epox and see where i get!

You only need the extra bracket for SPDIF out.

All you need to do is to run the speaker setup wizard and choose to have rear and sub/centre to be outputed analogue through the backplane (yellow blue and black plugs)

speaking of which,
how is 8RDA+ sound, anyway? :stick:
in both gaming and listening to music, which of the retail PCI sound cards would you compare it to, in terms of quality?
the reason i am asking, is that unlike some other NF2 motherboards, 8RDA+ is not Soundstorm certified.
and another quick question: what would you even plug into that SPDIF jack?
thanks

I say that its easly comparable to my Audigy!

Especailly with the software that comes with the drivers. Gives you total control over channel panning, creating cahnnels, rear and centre creation.

Very veyr good sound quality, and its onboard!!

Does it support EAX? I'm wondering whether to go with an Audigy 2 which I can get discounted, or the onboard sound. I've got an Audigy Gamer now...
