I want to buy this week a new CPU.
I want a X2 but i don't know what
I was thinking of 3800+ or 4440+
Is the 1mb cache of 4400+ worth the money?
thank you in advance
What are you using it for? ANd what cooling are you going to apply?

3800. Should have enough performance. You can use your money for other stuff...

but where is the boost of the 1mb on the 4400+ to be seen?
games, encoding...?
both, but not much effect on games. Maybe a few fps. It's more video dependant these days.

Hmm.. I'm on the same boat as you.
I'm partial to the 3800+. Better OC's in the general.

Look at the thread "Just Picked Up A New X2 3800+ ", njkid32 got some good stepping going on there.

Week 26 and 27 are pretty good clockers. Actually most 3800+s seem like pretty good clockers. But in general go for earlier.
