If you check the points where the power connector should be and you get 5/12v at the pins, it should be ok to just solder on a connector, but its (very) likely that there will be other components missing on the card, so it won't be as easy as just adding the connector to the card.

Thats why I sold mine for an x800pro! I keep seeing that, for whatever reason the x800xl's even on high voltages refuse to clock.
