:( Running stock speeds 486/1350 using stock cooler i am having artifacts ......

My Rig : Asus P4GD1 / PM770 / 2x512Mb bh-5 / OCZ Powerstream 520

Does anyone know what is going on here or should i just RMA the card ... ?

Does anyone know if i need the VGA box for the RMA process ? Previous RMA experiences with Asus ?

Thanks :(

If you just got it RMA it back to the store/e-tailer you bought it from. If that isn't an option send it back to ASUS. All the RMA's I've done in the past (none with ASUS though) I didn't need the original box.

Thanks for helping Major ;) . I bought the VGA at Zipzoomfly.com one month ago when i was in the US . I had exactly one month for returning :( , i guess i will have to send it back to Asus . I hope not need the box cause i don't have it anymore

That stinks, good luck with your RMA and I hope everything goes smoothly.

Are there any chances of being a Windows issue instead of a defective VGA ?

underclock it and see if the artifacts go away :)

underclock it and see if the artifacts go away :)

I did that . Seems that the memory chips are defective , if i lower the memory clocks from 1350 to 1300 the artifacts disapear . As a matter of fact those chips are 1.6ns so they don't need to withstand 1350Mhz because the nominal is 1250Mhz , however Asus sold me the card at 486/1350 and i pay for that ...... My solution is RMA  . I will keep you guys posted regarding Asus RMA process/policy .

pretty sad that :(
maybe try blowing some air over the ram. it won't be a good solution but if cooling fixes it that would be some good information.

I wiil try something .Sending the card back to US will cost me a lot , besides the fact that i would stay without vga for at least 2 months , based on what people say about Asus :( .
