The next week I will be ordering a pair of 7800GTX to run it @ SLi.
I want to know wich is the best brand to choose, Asus, XFX, Leadtek??
I think that XFX will be a good choice, but any other brand will be better??
BTW, any tips or advices on running 2x7800GTX @ SLi in a DFI NF4?
Thanks in advance for your replies.
I like BFG. I run BFG 6800GT OC. LIfetime Warranty, Good Stuff.
BFG always makes good stuff

XFX 490/1300 the mem flies on them. Have had two of them and on EVGA (which btw was a horrible clocker). :)
I know I had one Gigabyte X800Pro that overclocked like a mother...but I am unsure with their nVidia based cards.
ASUS Doesn't always follow reference design...I had one of their 9800XTs and it was the biggest piece of crap I ever had. I will no longer buy anything ASUS ever again. IMO!

Well, I think that I will go with XFX Xtreme Edition 7800GTX...
They come oced @ 490/1300, it is a good sign, not?? :D:D
I will report my results in single and sli mode soon...
Any other recomendations in running a SLI of 7800GTX?? I will be using a Ultra-D @ SLI-D mobo...
Thanks a lot!
But also all cards do not clock the same...you also have to keep that in mind. But like I said it was just my opinion.

i love my evga, for if you take a look at some of the clocks i get on the stock ref heatsink. 530/1500 is what i just hit about a week ago. i know this aint great but for these speeds this card really flies.

Well, BFG is impossible to get here in Spain, so I am now between Asus or XFX... I am already thinking in Leadtek, but nobody here talks about it... I have a Leadtek 6600GT now and it oc´s pretty good...
The three options:
--> Asus
--> XFX
--> Leadtek
My order of preferences is XFX > Leadtek > Asus, because I have never tried a VGA from Asus... what do you think guys?
Thanks a lot...

EVGA's new warranty covers ANYTHING that isn't physical damage, this includes overclocking... Their warranty is ALSO lifetime, just like BFG's.

I say go for the XFX or ASUS cards. ASUS alwayts seems to put put great cards and the XFX extremem cards fly as well. This is one difficult decison between the two.
Here is a solution...buy them both!! LoL...Who cares...it is only money right?

I have two XFX 490/1300 stock in SLI. They heat throttle in my DFI nF4 though. :(

BIOS Editor for them...take it off...I think I need to do the same on my BFGs

I don't like XFX because they lie to me. Go with Asus, the make crappy ATI boards and really good Nvidia boards.

They said they would send me 2 16 pipe cards and they sent me 2 12 pipe cards, same price. I tried to complain and they wouldn't respond.

The eVGA KO + ACS3. You can do anything to it and it's still under warranty. 490/1300.
Oh, too late. Enjoy! :P

I just installed a BFG 7800 GTX OC 256m. I loaded up UT2K4, maxed all the settings and I just was in awe... I have not even tried to OC it yet.... WHEW! I have a BFG 6800 GT OC as well and that thing is bad ass as well on my wife's rig.

Well, after some days of resting I have tried the SLI with the two XFX, and everything stock cooled.
Here are some photos to start with, but now I cant give you any results, because my Vennie only go up ~2650 Mhz on Stock AMD HSF, and this seems not to be enough for the two 7800 GTX.
I am waiting two MCW50 to cool down the cards and have to mount the MCP600 and the TDX to cool down the Vennie, so new results are coming... :toast: :toast:
Here are the pics:

Cordovader, glad to see you here. Always is great to see spanish people in foreign forums... :toast: :toast: :toast:
