The temperature of GT 20-pipes is lower than GTX 24-pipes, even in running.
The OC range is higher than the GTX I have.
The default is over6800Ultra already. It’s a real next generation display card.
If you want performance but are not affordable for 580USD GTX, you can consider this 7800GT which is under 430USD.
7 Series is coming… :D

So 15k stock is possible with FX ? ... Nice.

Though you wouldn't want to associate the card with the words "7 Series" ;) ...as the BMW 7 Series was a flop at launch and had to go through 3 refreshes for its final version :p:

Nice comprehensive review :)

mh, i'm wondering about your clocks. does your 7800gt run without any artifacts at these clocks?! mine's even artifacting @463mhz core clock :[

i can bench the card at higher clocks, but whats the sense if its artifacting like hell :(

That's a pretty good clock for a stock card..

Razz im in the same boat. Artifacts about 465mhz or so. I think it is either very voltage hungry (mine artifacts at 430mhz with 1.3v) or it needs cooling on the power regulators (they get VERY hot).

My first plan of action will be to get a HS on the vregs, and if that doesn't help, then i'll have to try a vmod.

Good review btw, matches with my findings. Scores are almost identical to mine.
