6600GT problem

Odd problem with my friends agp 6600gt, an error saying the card is not getting enough power always flashes up after playing a game for 30+ mins. Does anyone know how to solve this, will a modded bios do it or will i have to hardmod?

what are his spec's and size/brand of PSU?

psu's become less efficient (ie. draw more current, output less power) as they get hotter.
