Flashed X800 to XL but only 12 pipes still

Mm'k, I just flashed my Gigabyte X800 vanilla to an X800XL with the ATI BIOS. Success. However, the pipes aren't opening up. I'm looking for anybody else who would be able to point me to where I can download some more BIOS'. Sapphire doesn't keep BIOS' on their site, and I did a quick search for other BIOS', but couldn't come up with any results.

Any suggestions? I need the .bin BIOS (not .f2). I tried looking at the BIOS in RaBit, but it "encounters a problem" every time I try to open the ATI BIOS.

Wasn't there a similar problem with the X800 Pro VIVOs > XT PE flashes? The pipes wouldn't open up, but it'd read as an X800 XT PE. I think there was a certain way to open up the pipes during the flash. I'll look around some more.

I'd appreciate any suggestions or imput :)

I don't have idea how to unlock pipes in that VGA.

They arent bios locked...they are hard locked

where and how do you know this? AFAIK, the Gigabyte X800 256mb is an exact replica of the Gigabyte X800XL. Gigabyte isn't able to hard lock the core.

I know they are hard/laser locked for a fact also. I had a sapphire X800 and i flashed with sapphire X800XL BIOS and only 12 pipes still showed. you cannot unlock the extra 4 with a simple bios flash, they arent retarded anymore.

It needs to be hardmodded or its a no go
